I was training for this program with Wolrd of Beauty Academy for 500 hours total. There were around 5-7 people per class and we learned the basic of doing nails and about tools and supplies and how to do everything in the nail salon including waxing. It was a nice atmosphere though I wish they had taught more in detail about acrylic nails. I found myself enjoying the pedicure and it was fun to meet other girls in the class and exchanging tips and information and getting to socialize. I learned a lot more when I started my first job because the skills were being used in real life and I had to face a lot of problems that were prepared for and many that I had no idea about.

Great hands on learning Teachers make sure that you were accurately performing. Learned a lot about the anatomy of the hand and nails but also learned a lot about facials and how the skin works. I really love the facial part because I am trying to transition into the esthetician Part and hopefully combined my degree with that. There are a lot of strong personalities when it comes to the beauty industry so sometimes personalities can clash but the passion is mutual. The class was fun and entertaining. People has different ways of learning, but the instructor kept things interesting enough for all of us to be engage. In my opinion, receiving massage was the most enjoyable.
